HOW WE SERVE
WE IDENTIFY GAPS
We listen to families and communities to understand where support is needed the most.
WE CONVENE PARTNERS
We bring together organizations, businesses, educators, advocates, and leaders already doing the work.
WE CONNECT TO SOLUTIONS
We serve as a trusted bridge between families and the resources that help them thrive.
WE ACTIVATE IMPACT
Through education, wellness, technology, and community engagement initiatives, we turn into action.
Our Approach
Hap’s House operates as a community ecosystem designed to strengthen families through collaboration and connection.
We recognize that no single organization can solve every challenge facing today’s families. Instead, we identify needs, build strategic partnerships, and create pathways to resources that already exist within our communities.
Sometimes that looks like providing direct programming. Other times, it means connecting a family to a trusted partner, convening organizations around a shared challenge, or creating opportunities for collective action.
Our role is simple:
To stand at the center of the community, ensuring families have access to the support, relationships, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Because when families flourish, communities prosper.
The Legacy of Gregory O. Evans
Gregory Otis "Hap" Evans was more than a man of service—he was a man of unwavering love, faith, and dedication to his family and community. A retired Lieutenant Colonel, Hap led with strength and integrity, embodying the values of honor, resilience, and deep-rooted care for those around him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steadfast pillar of support, ensuring that his family had not just what they needed but a foundation of love and wisdom to carry forward.
Greg's life was a testament to the power of family. He believed that a strong household was the heartbeat of a thriving community, and he lived that truth every day. Whether through his guidance, his faith, or the countless ways he uplifted those in his circle, Greg left behind a blueprint for what it means to build, nurture, and empower. He was a Mighty Man of God, a title not just of faith but of action—a man who led by example, ensuring his legacy would be one of love, care, and respect.
Hap’s House stands as a living tribute to his mission. Inspired by his life and values, we create spaces where families grow, connect, and flourish together—because Hap knew that community starts at home. Through education, wellness, arts, and social engagement, we empower families to build strong foundations, just as he did.
Laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, Gregory's physical journey may have ended, but his spirit lives on in every family we uplift, in every child we inspire, and in every community we strengthen. We honor him by continuing his work—by ensuring that families stand together, rise together, and thrive together.
Hap’s House is more than an organization—it’s a movement, a commitment to keeping his legacy alive through action, empowerment, and love. Join us as we build the future, one family at a time.
